I could still remember my site back in Tripod. I made it in a small internet cafe on June 7, 2006 after school. I had a Freewebs account before, but it was confusing at first so I tried Tripod instead. I didn't have a name for the site yet, so I just called it "Konoko14's Avatar Fansite." Hehe! The slogan was "Where all my creations go."
As my site grew in content, I decided that it was time to tackle Freewebs. So, I moved from Tripod to Freewebs on July 6,2006. I used that "Enchanted" template with a blue color scheme. I was happy with it back then, but my sister told me that it sucked! I would agree with her but I was scared on using a real layout because I still didn't know about HTML. Since I'd have to learn about HTML eventually in school, I decided to get a new layout. My sister made the layout and taught me the basics of coding.
On Aug. 19, 2006, I launched my new and improved fansite. But it still didn't have a name back then. Some of you might have noticed that it had "Konoko14" as the logo. So, I decided to give it a catchy name. I was making a fanlisting for my favorite character from Zoids: New Century, Leena Toros (hence, "Leena14"), when I came across a description of her in Wikipedia. It said "...and is regarded as notoriously trigger-happy in combat, bordering on psychotic." And so I thought Trigger Happy was perfect! I renamed the site to Trigger Happy on Aug. 23, 2006.
After searching for a decent webhost due to ad issues, I transferred from Freewebs to 3000mb.com. I only lasted in 3000mb for a few days due to it's difficulty to update. So I found Gratis-Server.de and moved again.
But after frantically searching for another webhost due to the sudden traffic hit in the previous server, that's when I found Sitesled, and it was working out for me back then. Unfortunately, Sitesled's imposed ads and non-php pushed me to tackle php and I stumbled upon Hyperphp. Everything was going smoothly, I studied php and ftp, but they put ads and pop-ups everywhere without even saying in advance. So, after searching for yet another host, I planned on getting a shared hosting account. But I felt that I wasn't ready to leave free webhosts, and so I ended up with Infernohost.
On Jan. 9, 2008, I decided that it was time to get hosted by someone else. And after searching and speculating, I remembered one of my link exchanges, Dis-order, owned by Ryuku. Even though her hosting was closed, I asked her if she'd like to host my site. And the next day she replied that she would! I was so happy! Thanks, Ryuku!
On Jun. 4, 2009, the site moved from dis-order.nu to number-six.org after the former's domain expired. Trigger Happy is still hosted by Ryuku, now known as Kuyru, under her new site Peppers & Checkers.
